While wakesurfing is a popular way to enjoy Lake Ida, we recognize growing community concerns regarding the impact of wakeboard boats on water quality, aquatic species, and shoreline erosion. To help balance recreation with lake preservation, the Ida Lake Association has partnered with Minnesota Lakes and Rivers to provide this "Own Your Wake" map, which highlights recommended areas designed to minimize negative impacts on our ecosystem. You can download your own copy of the map to save on your phone or print for your boat. Download Lake Map (PDF) Download Lake Map (JPG)

Stay at least 200 feet from other boats to ensure safe navigation for all lake users .
Minimize repetitive passes in a single area to reduce continuous wave stress on the shoreline .
Be aware of wildlife and keep noise levels down to respect our neighbors, birds, and fish.
